 Hi,

Dunno what way of printing it's being talked about. It seems about the one
via Gnome-print.

 Best regards,

Subject: [Gnome-print] Bug: GNOME apps have problems to print through CUPS
X-Mailer: Mozilla 4.75 [en] (X11; U; Linux 2.2.17-21mdk i686)

Oi,

I have tried to print out of Abiword, but my HP LaserJet 1100 (Mandrake
8.0 with CUPS 1.1.6, Foomatic, GhostScript 5.50 with ljet4 driver, GNOME
1.4) prints
only the last page of the three pages of the document. I reported this
bug to the CUPS author, Michael Sweet and he answered:

--------------------------------------------------------------------

First, the problem: the PS file puts spaces between the %% and
keywords, which makes them non-conformant with the DSC specification.

Also, the "Page" comment does not specify a page number and sequence
number as required by the spec, but instead puts a filename in there.
CUPS doesn't really care about this, but other apps might.

Finally, there are three pages in this document, but only 1 (invalid)
Page comment. Since CUPS wraps each page with its own showpage
operator (to support page labels, classifications, etc.) you're
just getting all the pages overlayed on top of each other...

Please report this as a bug to the GNOME-print folks...

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Can you fix this?

   Till
