As Joel Spolsky wrote:

the problem is that they all use a different 20%

This idea has merits, but it desperately needs a clear specification of
what is required. Abiword is already small and light, and it may get
lighter as a lot of the newer features seem to living in plugin space, and
some stuff is being seperated out.

Ive marked it as a meta bug
later ill add a bug requesting that Change Case be made a plugin (ill
explain in the RFE) and that the importers and exporters be made as
plugins (afaik there is only some makefile magic required)

(I replied in bugzilla too, maybe at the end of this thread somone might
make a summary post and copy it into bugzilla)

use Abiword as an Editor?
i already do sometimes

I dont like using the term 'lite'.
There is the risk that people might confuse Abiword with its lesser
crippled version, so it might be wiser to make a clearer distinction, or
have this simply as a very minimal installation of Abiword.
