If that happens, we are NOT using libglade.

Umm.....

Gnumeric/Nautilus are GNOME applications. AbiWord is not. AbiWord is
cross-platform.

We are NOT talking about the Gnome frontend here, we're talking about
the GTK one. I couldn't care less if the Gnome frontend used libglade,
but it appears that dom doesn't want it to so maybe it won't. The big
deal is the possibility of libglade becoming a dependency for running
AbiWord on Unix. There are major differences of opinion about this.
