Just another tidbit about Word 97:

1. The combo box let's you select a colored background or a graphic.

2. Below the combo box is a checkbox "Background first page only". It
is grayed out while None is selected, and defaults to not checked when a
background graphic is selected.

BTW:

1. The background files are apparently .bmp files. (I don't know if
there are any options.)

2. I don't see (in this dialog for printing) an easy way to select a
plain colored background -- maybe you have to create a .bmp which is
just a single color.

3. On the same dialog there is a combo box to print a "stamp" (like,
DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL, etc.). There are also other things which I am not
describing, like buttons to call up dialogs to define the stamp or
background.

I'll try to drop this subject now, unless someone asks a question.
