With great difficulty. I'm not interested in trying to mangle some
fraction of a Word table onto these structures. You'd have to layout the
table in some virtual space then find which bits go in which tab. If we
could do this we'd have table support now :-)

This feature is purely for people who need to produce a printed piece of
paper with a table on it. They could send it to someone and demand
they download abi to read it! Hmm interesting possibilities of abusing by
authority here :-)

For some reason MS does not support this feature. I don't know why.
Even with full table support I can imagine it would be useful to embed a
nice little 4 line, 3 column table inside a cell of a more complex table.

We will be able to do this.
