I think so too, especially from the libwmf-lite perspective.

I don't mind doing a wmf->png importer for the interim, but this would
work better if I could rely on libwmf as an external library (i.e.,
non-lite system build) - and maybe this should be an option anyway.

I'll have another think about it.

Perhaps the sniffer should be called only for files with a .wmf extension?
In any case, WMF should probably be the last sniffer called.
