    I would reword this section thusly for a
    general-purpose letter:

    When someone reports a Linux kernel bug, they may very
    well get a response from Linux Torvalds himself. If
    someone reports a similiar bug in the Windows NT
    kernel, they would get no farther than talking to a
    technical support rep, who, while being nice, would
    not actually get anything done.
