    I am a bit baffled by this one. For some reason char* str = 0 and char*
    str = NULL are not doing the same things for Win32 build. As this is the
    root problem with crashing with Aiksaurus on an empty document. For other
    systems they are equivalent. So I am making the change to keep Windows
    from crashing
