I think most (if not all) of the key developers feel that having non-UNIX
ports is essential for AbiWord, otherwise the whole "cross-platform"
appeal is meaningless.
That said, very few of us ever see it in action on other platforms, so I
imagine it's very difficult to write about.
Perhaps once a week, or whenever, the platform maintainers could send a
paragraph or two to EAZen effectively publicizing the current state of the
port and any exciting developments that have occured.
Alternatively, you could try bribing EAZen with crystal meth.
