You're welcome! Just a bit more advice. It's easy to set up the file for
all the addresses if you use the Gnumeric spreadsheet. Just put the
names of the mail-merge fields as the top row of the spreadsheet and the
values for each envelope in rows underneath.
Save the spreadsheet as "comma separated variables" or *.csv
Then choose this file with the mail-merge dialog and place the fields
where you want them in your document. You can leave the dialog open
while you type and place them. It's all very fast and easy.
Dom wrote the mail-merge system under contract to an external company
and I think you'll find his implementation of it superior to every other
Word Processor. Certainly his clients love it. (See our press release
for 2.0)
