    There is no backporting to 2.0 - 2.0 was just a tag.

    Right now there is only 1 open branch, and that is
    HEAD. In the upcoming weeks, we'll make another branch
    that will become the 2.0 STABLE branch so that we can
    do more controversial changes in an unstable HEAD
    branch. I assume that there will be a lot of
    patch-porting between the 2 branches, at least
    initially.
