I just want to clarify that improving importers and exporters to handle
our new features should definately be allowed.

In particular we need to code up TOC import from MSWord and RTF and export
    to RTF.

In addition we *have* to work out how to import text boxes from MSWord.

Is there a tool for examing the binary stream from a *.doc format?

I think we can reverse engineer the structures needed for Text box
import/export by examining slight variations on simple cases with such a
    tool.

    eg.

    A. "Simple Text"
    B. "Simple Text" "simple text in Text Box"
    C. "Simple Text" "simple text in text box" (Text box 0.5 inches wider)
    D. "Simple Text" "simple text in text box" (Text box 0.5 inches higher)
    E. "Simple Text" "simple text in text box" (Text box 0.5 inches to left)
    D. "Simple Text" "simple text in text box" (Text box 0.5 inches to right)
    E. "Simple Text" "simple text in text box" (Text box 0.5 inches above)
    F. "Simple Text" "simple text in text box" (Text box 0.5 inches below)

By examing what changes and what stays the same together with the MS Word
documentation we have I think we we work this out with the help of our
    resident wv guru's

    Cheers

    Martin
