Your point is clear, but some of the ideas mentioned are - from my
point of view - real core issues, like "3. Full integration with
libgsf so that AbiWord can load and store documents transparently over
a network". For any credible GNOME-office integration this is
indispensible. Currently you can double click a Gnumeric file on a
remote host and it will open, but double clicking an Abiword file in
the same folder will just give you an error message.

That, and the fact that Nautilus won't open an msword-document edited
by Abiword because the extension doesn't match the file type... :-X
