I am uneasy about counting on people doing the right thing, but then I
am self-confessed cynic; I also have no real idea who we are talking
about, so I am not in the best position to make judgements on this.

Yes, I have never succeeded in setting this up in spite of trying hard
on several ocassions, and in spite of being able to ssh to blueant
without problems.

There is also an additional issue, and that is access for new people. In
the past if someone proved themselves, we simply granted them CVS access
at our discretion. If we migrate the CVS to Gnome, what will the
procedure be for creating new accounts, etc.? I assume that the security
procedures will need to be tighter (considering the scope of Gnome); is
it going to become difficult for knew people to join us?

(Just for the record, I am not adverse to moving the CVS to Gnome; I
just want to know what we gain, what we loose, what it will involve, and
ultimately if it is worth the effort.)

Tomas
