To my knowledge we have no information about another SoC opportunity
yet. 100% compatibility is impossible to achieve anyways, because
abiword doesn't support a good deal of the more esoteric OpenWriter
features.

OLPC is built around yet another document format called Crossmark.
Interest to support that has been expressed by prominent abiword
developers.

Everyone is free to work on whatever fits his fancy, be it bugs,
features, documentation ...
That said, sum1 takes a lot of credit for picking up where the nokia
sponsored effort left off.

There is no single project priority, developers pursue their plans
independently. It is a misguided assumption that developer A, spending
N hours per week on collaborative editing would otherwise spend those
N hours on improving import/export filters.

People have been receiving compensation for implementing specific
requests in the past. There is no obvious reasong this approach would
not work any more.
