Hello all --

My company, Collabnet, uses wv to strain microsoft word documents in
order to index them for searching purposes. I recently submitted a
patch that was accepted by Dom, and committed to trunk (r22872). We are
using v1.0.0, which is very old. I'm exploring the possibility of
upgrading to the latest version. After reading the home page for wv, I
see that it supports Word 2000 docs and earlier. I know it is
successfully straining Word 2003 docs. Is it a bad idea to assume it
will continue to strain doc files for Word 2003? Do current version of
wv or AbiWord officially support Word 2003 docs? I've been searching the
web site, but can't find any official statements about this. I would
consider using AbiWord to do the straining, but it seems like overkill
since we don't need to GUI component.

Thanks for your time.
