We noticed that there is a letter which appears correctly in the PO file
and does not appear correctly in the interface : ŋ

Our PO file is UTF-8 encoded; is the interface UTF-8 compatible as well ?
I guess this is an issue that you probably are already working on since
Abiword supports so many languages that use special characters.

We have problem with this character in the Wolof language as well (wo-SN).
