Hi All,
I am a first year student pursuing B.tech from IIIT, Hyderabad. I am
interested to work for Abiword under GSoC.
I am particularly interested in taking up project for developing
OpenMedSpel Plugin for Abiword.
I have already implemented a spell checker as a part of Btech project.
I have developed two strategies for implementing this:-
1. Either I should compute right-edit distance for each word to be
checked against the OpenMedSpel wordlist and pick up the nearest
suggestions from it. This I think would be a bit slow
2. During ispell or Enchant checking we can do this checking too.
could you please tell me whether I should adopt any of these
strategies or do I need to devise some new strategies?
Also please guide me how to start with it.
