Wow. I hadn't realized our Word support was good enough that anyone would
want to batch-convert documents without seeing what we'd done to them.

Adding command-line options per se isn't much work, and the import/export
architecture is quite modular, so it sounds like you've come up with a nice
project for yourself. Essentially the idea would be to use the Word
importer to create a document in memory, then immediately use the AbiWord
exporter to save it. Your biggest decision would probably be whether to:

- just compile the relevant bits into a standalone tool, or
- bolt it onto the side of the GUI app somehow.

If you'd like more specific pointers into the codebase, I'm sure either Jeff
or I could help you find the relevant spots.
