All apologies, my problem, which was a flickering of the text and not of the
buttons seems to have disapeared.
It may be because I had some zombie processes in the background, don't know
what happened.
All the more, I used Gnome+E on my now small pc, that was surely part of the
problem.
I also upgraded to the latest xfree svga server, that may have solved the
problem.
Anyway, thanks a lot for your help, very swift.
I swear that next time, I'll be more precise in my descriptions and not be
like Dilbert's boss anymore.
Go on developping that great software.
