AbiWord v2.6.3 Released

AbiWord 2.6 is a multi-platform word processor that combines state-of-the-art usability, powerful features, and excellent interoperability. Furthermore, it features a powerful framework for supporting custom extensions. AbiWord v2.6.3 is the latest stable release, which compared to v2.6.2 contains several bugfixes and resolves three potential security vunerabilities.

This release includes the following changes (and more!):

Re-enable the equation editor on Windows systems.

Don't crash when saving to a device with no space left.

Prevent quite a few hard to trigger crashes from happening.

Inform the user when the connection is lost while collaborating on a document over the TCP transport.

Note for Windows 95, 98 and ME users: AbiWord 2.6 is currently not available for your operating system. Please continue using AbiWord 2.4.6 instead.

Note for distributors: This release includes three security fixes. The specific patches can be found in our subversion code repository under revision 23557, 23660 and 23662.
