Agreed.

OpenWriter (which is the only of those mentioned i've been working on)
is in a fairly poor state compared to the OpenDocument. I think most
people will get far better results converting their files to ODT
before importing. Maybe it should stay in plugins as a last resort for
people who don't have that possibility?
(I could imagine similar arguments hold for StarWriter, but that would
be guesswork).
